Networked Neighbourhoods has been working with the BBC to test the potential of an alliance of London neighbourhood sites to act as a public service channel. The project has been using the forthcoming digital switchover help scheme as a catalyst.
Working with Social Housing – Wolverhampton Homes & Barrow Cadbury Trust
A project exploring how residents can establish and embed neighbourhood networks in low income areas. This project will help to understand how effectively social media can be used in low income areas to deliver both social benefits and benefits to the social landlord.
Extending the reach of local social media – Big Lottery, Big Local Trust
Working alongside the Big Local Trust in some of the most disadvantaged areas of England, we are using connective technologies to underpin and catalyse a growth in local skills, confidence and community action. We are using this opportunity to strengthen and possibly adapt the model of an online neighbourhood network.
Supporting behaviour change – London Borough of Sutton, Smarter Streets
We are just starting work with London Borough of Sutton using a community social-media approach to support behaviour change. This council-led project is using a co-productive approach, stimulated by top-down and social systems behaviour change to deliver 25% savings on street cleaning.
